Matcha Bowl - K6

| /

Each piece in our collection is meticulously handcrafted in the Northern Rivers Hinterland by our Co-Founder and Ceramic Artist, Lesley Hurley. With over two decades of immersion in the tea industry, Lesley brings a wealth of experience, particularly in the study of ceramics tailored for tea culture.

Our wheel-thrown matcha bowl exemplifies this dedication. Shaped from a distinctive blend of Australian stoneware clay, each bowl undergoes firing in a gas kiln, reaching temperatures as high as 1300°C.

Crafted with utmost care, our glazes are food safe and meticulously prepared by hand in small batches, using raw materials sourced exclusively from Australia. The resulting natural glaze exudes a sophisticated allure while maintaining a rustic charm, reminiscent of the Australian landscape with its subtle earthy tones and unique metallic flecks.

All bowls undergo an exclusive post-firing treatment which polishes and seals any exposed clay surface, with the intention to enhance the user experience and extend the life of the bowl.

Measurements:  H 69 x W 130 mm.

Designed for everyday use.

For optimal care, we recommend washing and drying by hand after each use. Avoid leaving the bowl to dry in a dish rack alongside other items, as this is where damage is most likely to occur.
